This game was frustrating for several reasons. Most obviously is that we lost the game 2 to 1. It was one where probably should’ve one but we didn’t. One of the other frustrating things that Ian Kinsler got ejected. I didn’t happen to hear that part of the game I was busy doing something else is the time when I tuned him he was already out. Thirdly was Adrian Beltre getting hit with a pitch late in the game and having to come out. Not good.

G95: Feldman surprises; BoSox bombed 9-1
I’ve decided that I’m going to start redoing current game updates. Still dictating from my iPad, but I will stay current and then fill in the missing months as I go along.
After his last attempt at starting had failed miserably this year I don’t think any Rangers fan wanted to see Scott Feldman as a starting pitcher in a Rangers game. Yet, that’s where we found ourselves on Monday. We’ve had some problems with the starting rotation recently. The most recent one was Colby Lewis being out for the year. And that’s pretty much why Scott Feldman was starting this game.
G76: Rangers win slugfest, 13-9
Ah yes, another one of those lovely well pitched games where the box score shows you have 22 runs and 34 hits. That means there will be not much good to write about pitching wise. But I might try and find something anyway.

G75: Darvish Ks 10, gets 7-5 win
When I fought about Yu Darvish coming here, I never really thought of him as a strikeout pitcher. Maybe it’s because of his size, but I don’t know but he never struck me as a big strikeout pitcher. However all the guys who started for the Rangers in quite a while he seems to be the most consistent in getting 10+ strikeout games. This game was no different. Darvish had 10 strikeouts over seven innings. [Read more…]
G74: Grimm bombed; Rangers lose 8-2
I don’t think any Rangers fan with doubt that awesomeness of Justin Grimm’s first major-league outing. He just rocked it. However, his second outing was quite the opposite – he got rocked himself! His line was so bad, I think I heard Mark Clark somewhere saying “Man that was bad!”
G73: Leonys Martin leads 4-2 win
The Rangers finished up interleague play for 2012 with a nice 4-2 win over the Rockies. While the final score was 4-2 the Rangers were actually pretty much out in front this entire game. And fact, the only two runs the Rockies got both came in the ninth inning and not off of starter Matt Harrison.
G72: Rangers blown out, lose to Rockies 11-7
While the final score was only four runs, the Rangers were down at one point 11-1. We did pick up a six spot in the bottom of the fifth that was quite nice. But that was the end of the scoring. The last four innings were all zeroes.
You would have thought that Scott Feldman was so mad at being moved back to the bullpen he knocked out Colby lewis, stole his uniform and pitched as Lewis. Oh well…
G71: Oswalt debuts, I cook, Rangers win 4-1
On Friday night, I was given the opportunity to head out to the Rangers game with a friend’s tickets, so I took him up on it. I’ll usually say yes to free tickets, but when I realized a few days earlier that it was going to be Roy Oswalt’s Rangers debut, I figured it was an additional reason (beyond the obvious free) to do it. So I got myself together Friday afternoon, and headed out to grab some food before the game, because well.. It’s bloody expensive to eat at the Ballpark.
G70: Rangers sweep Padres with 4-2 win
G69: Rangers beat Padres, 7-3
I don’t have time to write about this one, so I’m gonna skip it. Feldman’s last game as a starter (which has apparently pissed him off) was his best.
