In the last two weeks I’ve come down with a pulled muscle in my neck that is made more painful if I do things that involve my hands. Such as typing for any length of time, and playing videogames. That’s why I’ve disappeared. When this clears up, I’ll play catch up, but I didn’t want people to think I’ve abandoned ship.

Ah yes, another one of those lovely well pitched games where the box score shows you have 22 runs and 34 hits. That means there will be not much good to write about pitching wise. But I might try and find something anyway.

NOTES: Shame, as Lewis was someone I liked. Now that he’s actually out for the year, it makes the acquisition of Oswalt more important. Not unless he becomes a head case like he did in Philly. ;( Don’t know a ton about Perez, but I suspect he’s more a stopgap for the moment.

When I fought about Yu Darvish coming here, I never really thought of him as a strikeout pitcher. Maybe it’s because of his size, but I don’t know but he never struck me as a big strikeout pitcher. However all the guys who started for the Rangers in quite a while he seems to be the most consistent in getting 10+ strikeout games. This game was no different. I don’t think any Rangers fan with doubt that awesomeness of Justin Grimm’s first major-league outing. He just rocked it. However, his second outing was quite the opposite – he got rocked himself! His line was so bad, I think I heard Mark Clark somewhere saying “Man that was bad!”
