In the best move I think we could have made, the Rangers did not send Derek Holland to Toronto for Roy Halladay. When the time passed, I heard Hannah Baugh being really excited from here.
I do have a question, how did you spend the time leading up to the deadline? For me, I was sitting in my living room with my laptop showing the live feed from MLB Network (they had it online), and also had mlbtraderumors in another window. (I was playing games on my Xbox 360 at the same time). What was cool is the MLBN video feed also has a combined twitter feed from all over the place, so you’d get flash updates from there at the same time.

I kept refreshing the windows on MLB.com site and waiting by my phone to see if Blake Beavan was to be included in a trading package.
SQUEE!!!! That’s me!!! Hehe, omg that is so awesome. I got the hugest smile on my face when I saw this and I did “squee” a little bit! Sooo cool. I love it. And yes I was verryyy excited! Multiple years of Holland, Smoak, Borbon, etc. is way more attractive to me than a year and a half of Halladay. I would have gone crazy if they would have traded Holland after last night. I love that kid. I’ve always believed in him and we got a glimpse of the future last night. Simply amazing.
I actually worked all day today so I didn’t get to be home raiding the internet and TV for all the rumors. But I did get a call at work that the talks were pretty much dead. I was driving home when the actual trade deadline passed.
I was actually okay with them not making a move at all. :) GO RANGERS!!!!!
