Given the way the rains washed out Friday night’s game, and the forecast we were told about, I can’t say I’m surprised at all about the fact that tonight’s game was totally rained out hours before it even started. According to the press release, it will be made up in June when we go back there.
BOSTON (AP) — Saturday night’s game between the Boston Red Sox and Texas Rangers was postponed by rain.
It will be rescheduled as part of a day-night doubleheader on one of the days during the Rangers’ next trip to Boston on June 9-11. The current series is scheduled to wind up with a single game Sunday. Texas beat Boston 6-0 on Friday night in a game shortened by rain to 5 1/2 innings.
Sunday’s scheduled starters are Kevin Millwood (3-3) for Texas and Josh Beckett (4-1) for Boston. Saturday’s scheduled starters, John Koronka for Texas and Lenny DiNardo for Boston, were pushed back in their rotations.
