I don’t know how many of you read Jim Evans’ Baseball Daily blog, but he had a good piece on Sunday about how players seem to be running the show. He talks about Manny Ramirez, Miguel Tejada, Jeff Kent, & Milton Bradley. Soriano & Roger Clemens get a mention, too.
It’s a really good piece, and you should check it out. Good read.
Jim Evans says
Hey, thanks for the plug– I really appreciate it! I’d love to see the Rangers put together a winning team, for all you fans in the Lone Star State. I really thought John Hart would have done it for you by now– I watched him do it in Cleveland.
Unfortunately, it’s hard to find people to pitch in your park, and Colorado, and…. uh, the moon. C’mon, you can’t tell me that on a hot day, the ball doesn’t carry in Arlington just as far as on the moon– admit it!
But what players you have in Texeira and Young, and several others have fantastic potential, too. I hope your team sticks with Wilkerson– he could be excellent, and you need a guy to leadoff who will take a walk. The only walk Soriano liked was to a reporter, to tell them he wasn’t switching positions!
Anyway, thanks again for the kind comments, and Go Rangers!
