Heard on XM Radio a few minutes ago a new rumor about Hank Blalock being moved.
Blalock to White Sox for a starter and Joe Crede.
Depending on who the starter is, I’d do that. Most of the White Sox starters had great records last year, so if we can grab one of their guys, that’d be cool, but it wouldn’t make much sense to me for the Sox to move someone like Garland, Contreras, etc…
I haven’t heard this anywhere else. Do you have any more details?
No, I don’t have anything. I just heard it on XM radio’s morning show as a rumour. I looked around, and I did see a link on the Fox Sports baseball rumours page which talked about Blalock to the White Sox, but didn’t give any details.

Also, about 3 hours after I wrote that, it was announced that the Sox resigned Garland for 3 years/$29 mil, so he won’t be in the trade for Blalock, obviously. :)
i would EASILY do that trade…i think blalock for crede would offset each other(blalock is a little better but they’re close) and then a starter for the cherry on top…i’d be a happy man for this trade…although blalock is my favorite player, we still need pitching
